Through the Google AdSense program, you display the AdWords ads on your website that are relevant to the content displayed on your site. These ads use the CPC (Cost Per Click) technology, which means that the advertisers will pay for the ad only if any visitor to your site clicks on any of their ads. You as the website publisher will receive a portion of the proceeds which search engines like Google receives from the advertisers by calculating the clicks on the ads.

Google does not reveal the exact revenue share, but they maintain that you will be given reasonable and competitive portion that is more than or as much as those offered by such advertising networks or banner exchange program. If your balance is more than 100 dollars Google will send you a check in US dollars within 30 days at the end of the month that Google AdWord ads are running on your site.

You can view the activity of your account by logging in to your AdSense account and viewing the reports. You’ll be able to see the total number of page impressions, ad clicks, clickthrough rate, average earnings per click, and your total earnings which enables you to get an idea of how well the program is performing for you and how much you can expect to earn over time in the program
