Tips for Google AdSense

  • You are allowed to filter ads, which ensure that you can choose the ads you want to be displayed on your webpage. Log in to your AdSense account and you will be able to make changes to your filter settings. Google also has a technology which automatically weeds out inappropriate ads from your website.
  • You can display Google AdSense Ads on any pages of any website that you legally own or are legally authorized to run. You do not need to notify Google about how many pages you have been displaying their ads as they will automatically determine that by regular crawling.
  • In case you don’t yet have enough content on your website, Google has not yet determined relevant ads for your website, or the search engine has not yet crawled your website, then it will display public service ads on your website, which will however be of no monetary value to you as you will not be paid for that.
  • Participation in Google AdSense program does not guarantee high ranking on Google search results as it is not related to that.
  • You do not need to test the validity of clicks on the ads that are displayed on your website as they are all pre-tested by the editors which makes sure that the clicks lead to a valid and relevant URL.
  • Registered users of Google AdWords programs are allowed to use the same login and password if they wish to join their AdSense program.
  • Currently, AdSense is available in US and elsewhere, provided the content of the website is in English. But all the transactions will be done in US dollars. Non-English sites are not allowed to use Google AdSense as of yet.
  • You can also display ads by other networks on your website provided it does not mimic Google AdSense in behavior or appearance. This means that other ads should not be text-based or content-targeted like Google AdSense. However, you must make sure that other ad networks also legally allow the use of Google AdSense over and above their own ads. Also, you may not display more than one set of Google Ads on one page as Google does not support double serving.
  • Do not have multiple accounts with Google AdSense unless you have different sites that require separate set of payments.
