My brother has been telling me recently about his CISSP training. He is doing in order that he can stay ahead of his field and will have a better chance of a promotion in his current job. He is also worried that he may lose his job in the current economic climate and so is making sure that all of his skills are as good as they possibly can be so he has more chance of finding a new job if necessary. I am so pleased that he has done this information security training as he has a young family to support and I would be really worried if he was out of a job for long. I am sure that many people are in the same position and he is lucky that he can afford to do this training in order that he can make himself more employable. It does worry me that people with families like him, could soon be struggling to find work and whether they do CISSP certification training or something more relevant to their field of work, at least it will put the one step ahead of those who have not done any training.
