FSU Fraternities Turn To Internet Marketing, Raise Money for Charity

Many fraternities and sororities take on charity events during the holidays, and in these economic hard times it may be difficult to raise the money needed for a FSU fraternity charity.  A new trend is for fraternities and sororities to turn to the online market to sell items such as T-shirts, sweatshirts, undergarments, coffee mugs, clocks and other dorm decorations with the FSU logo appearing prominently on the items.

Many FSU fraternities are starting up their own Internet store to help raise money, not only for their favorite charity, but for their own agenda as well.  The fraternities at FSU sell items on the Internet to alumni, current FSU students and anyone who enjoys FSU memorabilia and items to support their FSU team and school spirit.  Many people who live in and around Florida State will appreciate being able to get FSU items at reasonable prices online to send as gifts to their friends and family.  In addition, if the fraternity advertises that the proceeds are going to their favorite charity, people are more likely to purchase these items.

Even the best fraternity at Florida State may have difficulty raising money for their favorite charity or funds for fraternity sponsored events.  So, turning to the Internet to make money makes sense and gives students practical experience in Internet marketing while helping them to raise the money they need for both the charity and themselves.

The FSU Internet store can be monitored by several different fraternity brothers at different times so that everyone gets some experience handling the Internet marketing, advertising, and distribution.  Not everyone has to be a business major to participate in the online store, however this gives everyone practical experience with computers, the Internet, and firsthand experience with sales.
