Spring Thaw Brings Campers Outdoors; Cabin Rentals Verses Tents, Both Work for True Campers

In the spring, when the weather begins to thaw and turn to warmer temperatures, many individuals and their friends and families begin to think about coming together to rent cabins for outings such as float trips, hiking and biking trips or other outdoor adventures indigenous to their state and region.

There are many different attractions in different states that families and groups of friends travel to each year to get away from it all to relax and have a good time. Some prefer to pitch a tent and sleep under the stars while others are more comfortable with a cabin rental where they are more enclosed and away from the elements that could popup at any moment – such as a sudden downpour of a rain shower or a wandering wild animal.

Camping is not for everyone and that is why there are RVs and rental cabins in which people are camping but not actually out in the elements; they have brought as many of the comforts of home with them. True campers will not sleep in rental cabins, but will visit with their friends who decide to rent a cabin or ‘rough it’ in a RV to play a game of cards or share a meal with them but when it comes time to bed down for the night, true campers head back to their tents and sleeping bags.

A rental cabin could make life a little easier on some people by providing a traditional stove, oven and toilet and shower; something that is lacking in the tent area of a campground unless one counts the communal showers and toilets. But cooking is still a problem for large groups when it comes to the smaller propane generated cook tops.

There are people who love the great outdoors and want to totally immerge themselves in all there is to being outdoors and that includes pitching a tent and living outside for a couple of days. While there are other people who don’t mind the outdoors, they just don’t want to be in it 24/7 and need a place to go inside to unwind and get away from the bugs and all that nature has to offer.
