App Developers for Android Busy Keeping Up With Apple to Create New and Exciting Apps
Google, which recently teamed with Verizon and Motorola to bring to life the latest smart phone – the Android mobile phone, will soon need more app developers for Android in order to keep up with its competitor the Apple iPhone.
According to most reports, the new Android mobile phone is living up to its potential and all the hype surrounding its release in early November 2009. This latest smart phone contains ‘Google’s Android operating system, a five-megapixel camera with flash and a digital zoom, a well implemented touch screen and a slide-out keyboard.’
What the Android does not have is the annoying ‘red button menus’ and the ‘ever non-working’ Bluetooth functionality. The Verizon Android does have an Android Market - or Droid Store as it is sometimes referred to - in which Android development companies have been hard at work creating the best apps available. There are now over a billion apps on the Apple iPhone and Verizon is wasting no time in catching up with their own creations like the Family Locator that easily allows anyone to locate your loved ones on your Verizon phone or PC – in real time. And tons of games android application development people created especially for Verizon such as iKnow series with iKnow: Movies; Bowling; Gumballs; Addicting Games-Quickies; Skipping School and Miss Drama Queen that are all sure to offer tons of individual hours of electronic gaming entertainment.
A visual voicemail app is located under the Verizon tab in the Droid’s App Store in case people were wondering.
The lack of Bluetooth transfers on some of the various smart phones means extra fees being paid to move contacts between devices. Controlling apps meant Verizon could potentially profit from software selling as an intermediary. Keeping GPS software off the phones means a monthly fee could be charged for navigational system. But if your friends and family also have a Verizon wireless network as their provider, then the Family Locator would be something people might consider downloading. There is a navigational system, however it is different from the GPS software people are used to.
